Chamber Orchestra Concerts
Haydn’s Distraction
January 24: 6:00 PM & 7:45 PM
Masterful Miniatures celebrates music at its most focused and expressive, pairing sparkling orchestral gems with intimate masterpieces. From the wit of Haydn’s Symphony No. 60 to the timeless beauty of Barber’s Adagio for Strings, this program reveals how powerful music can be in small, refined forms.
The concerts feature Symphony of the Rockies’ own principal musicians: Hillary Schefter, Principal Harp, and Corey Nance, Principal Trombone, in works by Claude Debussy and Lars-Erik Larsson. Elegant, virtuosic, and compelling, this evening offers a close-up look at symphonic charm, humor, and nuance.
