Symphony of the Rockies encourages all musicians in Colorado to join our mission to engage, enrich, and inspire.

Auditions for the 24-25 season are ongoing.

Audition Instructions

For Section players (including all strings) or to audition for the substitute list, please prepare 5-8 contrasting standard orchestral excerpts of your choice five by video or audio (Google Drive or YouTube are preferred).

Video and audio should be recorded in highest quality possible.

Current Openings

Concertmaster/Leader: Application Instructions

• Per service rate is $170-250.

• You may, if you choose, record each solo and excerpt as a separate video and splice the videos together. However, please no editing within each selection.

• Highly qualified candidates are encouraged to audition for our sister organization, “Boulder Symphony,” concertmaster position.

• Finalists will be invited to perform with Symphony of the Rockies during the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons.

Principal Horn

• Per service rate is $80-$110.

• Inquire by sending an email below including resume and recording of 5-7 standard orchestral excerpts

• Youtube or Google drive recordings are accepted
